The electric vehicle maker is not aware of any crashes, injuries or deaths that may be related to this condition as of Oct. 10, the regulator added. July 3 (Reuters) - Meta Platforms (META.O) plans to launch a microblogging app, Threads, days after Twitter executive chair Elon Musk announced a temporary cap on how many posts users can read on the social media site. Threads, Instagram's text-based conversation app, is expected to be released on Thursday and will allow users to follow the accounts they follow on the photo-sharing platform and keep the same username, a listing on Apple's (AAPL.O) App Store showed. The launch comes after Twitter announced a slate of restrictions on the app, including the need to be verified in order to use TweetDeck. July 2 (Reuters) - Pacific Investment Management Co (PIMCO) is preparing for a "harder landing" while top central bank chiefs prepare to continue their campaign of interest rate rises, Daniel Ivascyn, chief investment officer at the U.S. bond giant, told the Financial Times in an interview published on Sunday. July 2 (Reuters) - Police in Baltimore said that two people had died and 28 others were injured in a mass shooting early on Sunday morning at a housing block in the city. An 18-year-old female was pronounced dead at the scene and a 20-year-old male was pronounced dead after being taken to a local hospital, the police said. Nine people were transported from the scene to local hospitals, while 20 others affected walked into hospitals in the area, police said. "Nine critically injured patients were stabilized and transferred to Baltimore trauma centers," it said, adding that all but one patient had been released. The police department said that at about 12:35 a.m. on Sunday officers responded to calls of a reported shooting at 800 block of Gretna Court.
